Privacy Policy — Unblock Me

The short version. We do not collect anything about you. The game has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no servers of our own. Everything you do in the game stays on your phone. The one exception is advertising, which is supplied by Google AdMob and described in full below.

This policy explains what happens to information when you use Unblock Me (“the app”, “the game”), published by Style App (“we”, “us”).

1. Information we collect ourselves

None. We operate no servers and no backend. We cannot see your progress, your device, your location or your identity, because none of it is ever sent to us.

2. Information stored on your device

The game saves the following locally, using your device’s standard app storage:

Which levels you have completed, your best move count and your star rating
Which level you are currently on
Your hint balance
Which block skin and board theme you have selected and unlocked
Your sound, music, vibration, hint and reduced-motion settings
Whether you have seen the tutorial
A snapshot of an unfinished puzzle, so you can resume it

This data never leaves your device and is not readable by us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it. You can also clear it at any time from inside the game: Settings → Reset Progress.

3. Advertising

The app displays advertising through the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. To select and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

Your device’s advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID)
IP address, from which an approximate (city-level) location can be derived
Device information, such as model, operating system version, language and screen size
Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped

We never receive this data in a form that identifies you. We only see aggregate earnings reports. Google’s handling of this data is governed by their own policies:

Your choices about ads

Android: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where you can refuse tracking for individual apps.

Turning personalisation off does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.

Rewarded and full-screen ads

Some ads are full-screen and appear between levels. Rewarded video ads are never shown automatically — they only play if you deliberately choose to watch one in exchange for hints.

4. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us at the address below and we will act on it.

If you target the Families programme: replace the paragraph above with a statement that the app is directed at children, that ads are non-personalised, and that the app complies with COPPA and Play’s Families policy — and make sure tagForChildDirectedTreatment is actually set in AdService first.

5. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the lawful basis for showing you personalised ads is your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time using the device controls in section 3.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to complain to your national data protection authority. Because we hold no data about you ourselves, requests concerning advertising data should be directed to Google, who is the controller for that processing.

Developer action required before EU distribution: the app does not yet present a consent prompt. Serving personalised ads to users in these regions without one is not compliant, and Google requires a certified Consent Management Platform. Integrate Google’s User Messaging Platform (the ump APIs already bundled with google_mobile_ads) before MobileAds.initialize() — or restrict distribution to exclude those countries. Then delete this notice.

6. If you are in California

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not collect personal information ourselves. Advertising data collected by Google is subject to Google’s policies and your opt-out rights under section 3.

7. Data security

Progress data never leaves your device. Any data transmitted by the advertising SDK is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and publish the new version at the same URL. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
